Rhonda Kelly Moves Up At Cable & Wireless

Rhonda Kelly has recently been promoted to the Regional Office within Cable & Wireless as Corporate Communications Manager of the North Caribbean and Atlantic Islands (NCAI). She has been employed with Cable & Wireless for the past 12 years in the role of Public Relations Manager.

Rhonda is the definition of hard work, and exemplifies success through her determination, desire, and discipline, a press release from C&W said.

When she was first employed with Cable & Wireless her job was focused on internal communication doing newsletters, internal events, etc.Ê Her efforts were recognised in her early years by her winning the Cable & Wireless General Manager's Award for Excellence in 1988.

Over the years her role in the public relations field evolved into a dynamic and pro-active one. For instance under her guidance, Cable & Wireless community sponsorship has become focused on three main areas: education, sports, and health. And be sure, the people of the Cayman Islands have been entertained, educated and have benefited from these programmes.

The Cricket Weekend has grown from strength to strength, setting standards in sports by attracting such big names like Sir Viv Richards in 1999.Ê The Cancer Weekend has also touched and educated the people of Cayman to the point where the population is no longer afraid to use the "C" word.

These events were all Rhonda's brainchild and under her guidance and with an enormous amount of work she has watched these events grow into something that everyone in the community can enjoy and of which Cable & Wireless can be proud.

In her new role in the Regional Office of Cable & Wireless as Corporate Communications Manager Rhonda will be working along with local PR Managers to develop and implement Public Relations strategies in Turks & Caicos, Bermuda, and Cayman.

"I am extremely excited about this opportunity and I know that the exposure and experience I am going to gain will be tremendous.Ê I consider myself very fortunate as I love what I do and the opportunity to do it on a regional level is thrilling," Rhonda related.(C&W)
