Cable & Wireless introduces new consumer plans

Cable & Wireless breaks new ground this week when it introduces SmartChoice to its residential customers.

SmartChoice is a set of four plans which combine line rental with call management features such as Voicemail and Caller ID and significant discounts on international direct dialed numbers. Each SmartChoice plan includes a free state-of-the-art Caller ID telephone.

In introducing the plans to the local market, General Manager of Cable & Wireless Cayman Islands, Mr. Tim Adam, said, "SmartChoice is another part of our commitment to add value to the excellent product which we offer our customers. Last year when we announced the reduction of our international direct dial rates by an average of 27%, we promised our customers even more savings. SmartChoice is one of the exciting programmes which we are rolling out across the region."

Customers who sign up for the SmartChoice plans get 20% Talkaway discount on up to six international numbers, depending on the plan they choose. This means that they will be able to call their selected numbers in the United States for as little as CI$0.48 per minute on weekends. That's double the discount on regular Talkaway numbers.

Mr. Adam said, "We're making it easy for customers to sign up. They can come to our offices at Anderson Square and Stake Bay, Cayman Brac or call us for free at 1 800 744 TALK to find out more about SmartChoice."
