Cable & Wireless
"Jumps and Clicks" across the Caribbean
Following
the announcement of the new hours in their Internet packages and the introduction
of the new Net Pro package, Cable & Wireless is giving customers even
more to celebrate this coming weekend.
On Saturday
May 13th, Cable & Wireless will be hosting the biggest live web event
of its kind ever held in the region. From the main-stage event, which
takes place in Barbados, eight Caribbean Islands will link together to
see live performances from Square One, interviews with Sherwin Campbell
and Franklyn Rose from the West Indies cricket team, and travel over the
superhighway to tune in to live action from the St. Lucia Jazz Festival.
Appropriately
named "Jump and Click" this fun-filled extravaganza will give customers
a chance to learn more about the Internet, from how to get started to
how to explore the coolest websites and shop on-line from the comfort
of your own home. Among the demonstrations will be information on education,
e-commerce and lifestyles, as well as resource persons available to answer
questions.
In addition,
everyone who shows up at Saturday's event, which is being held at the
Westin Hotel from Noon until 6pm, will have an opportunity to win free
Internet service for one year! New customers who sign for any one of the
Internet packages will receive 2 weeks free Internet service.
Along with
Cayman, the Islands that will be 'Jumping and Clicking' with Cable & Wireless
include Antigua, Anguilla, Barbados, the British Virgin Islands, Dominica,
Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
General
Manager Tim Adam said, "We are extremely pleased to be a part of this
truly Caribbean event, which gives us an opportunity to demonstrate the
power and versatility of the Internet. We hope all of our customers will
come out and join us, and we look forward to a fun-filled exciting day
of activities.
