Elections Office Takes To The Road

The Elections Office is visiting various government and private-sector businesses to issue electors registration cards, as well as to assist any qualified elector who wishes to register for the General Elections on 8 November.

The special sittings are an effort to provide registered voters with more opportunities to receive their cards.Although the visits are primarily intended to provide cards for employees of the particular building, the Elections Office staff will produce cards for other registered voters upon request.

Persons may still obtain their cards from the Elections Office, on the fifth floor of the Tower Building, between 9am and 5pm Monday through Friday.

Each voter registration card takes about five minutes to produce, and the information contained on it will make it easier and quicker for persons to vote on Elections Day.Ê The card-issuing schedule is:

Tuesday, 23 May, 8:30am to 5pm - Civil Aviation

Wednesday, 24 May, 8:30am to 5pm - Public Works Department

Thursday, 25 May, 10am to 7pm - Cayman Islands Hospital

Friday, 26 May, 10am to 7pm - Cayman Islands Hospital

Tuesday, 30 May, 8:30am to 5pm - Cable & Wireless, SafeHaven Leeward Three, West Bay Road

Wednesday, 31 May, 8:30am to 5pm - Cable & Wireless, corner of Shedden Road and Eastern Avenue

Thursday, 1 June, 8am to 4pm - Caribbean Utilities Company

Friday, 2 June, 8am to 5pm - Caribbean Utilities Company (GIS)
