Mr. Wayne Seymour - Technical Director at the Elections Office will be at Safehaven in Cable & Wireless Leeward 4, first floor offices on Tuesday, May 30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to supply registration cards to previously registered voters, and to hand out registration documentation to those who are not yet on the new voter list.

Mr. Seymour said: "The process of getting the voter registration cards, as well as to register to vote, will take about 5 minutes. By locating at Cable & Wireless offices we are hoping to make the process more convenient for Cable & Wireless employees, and customers."

This registration opportunity is open to all Cable & Wireless employees, staff at other offices located in the Safehaven complex and to members of the public. A further registration opportunity will be held on Wednesday, May 31 at the company's Shedden Road compound and will be open to Cable & Wireless employees only.

Cable & Wireless General Manager Tim Adam said: "We are very pleased to work with the Elections office to get Cable & Wireless employees registered to vote. With over 250 employees, we are one of the largest employers in the Cayman Islands and feel it is part of our corporate responsibility. We are also happy to invite members of the public to take advantage of this opportunity at the Safehaven location on Tuesday, May 30. It is an important national initiative to have all eligible voters registered and able to vote in November. We feel it is a great cause to be a part of, and hope our cooperation will help boost the number of eligible voters coming out to register."
